The service

Circle is a subscription-based video platform for children ages 3–12. Parents create family accounts, subscribe to individual creators, and their children watch content through a controlled, ad-free environment. Circle is operated by Circle LLC ("Circle," "we," "us," or "our"), a Virginia limited liability company.

Who can use Circle

Circle accounts may only be created by adults 18 years of age or older. By creating an account, you represent that you are at least 18 years old and have the legal authority to agree to these terms on behalf of your household.

Children do not create their own accounts. Child profiles are sub-accounts created and managed by a parent or guardian account holder.

Account responsibilities

• You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials
• You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account
• You agree to provide accurate information when creating your account
• You must notify us immediately at hello@circletv.co if you suspect unauthorized access to your account
• You may not share your account with individuals outside your household
• You may not create more than one account per household without our written permission

Subscriptions and payments

Circle membership: Circle requires a platform membership at $4.99/month or $49.90/year (2 months included). Your membership provides access to the Circle platform, up to 5 child profiles, parental controls, screen time limits, and viewing history.

Creator subscriptions: Each creator sets their own monthly subscription price between $2.99 and $14.99/month. You may subscribe to as many or as few creators as you choose. Each creator subscription is billed separately and can be cancelled independently at any time.

Billing: Subscriptions renew automatically each billing period until cancelled. You authorize Circle to charge your payment method on file for all active subscriptions.

Cancellation: You may cancel any subscription at any time from your account dashboard. Cancellations take effect at the end of the current billing period. We do not provide prorated refunds for partial billing periods.

Refunds: We review refund requests on a case-by-case basis. To request a refund, contact hello@circletv.co within 7 days of a charge.

Price changes: We will provide at least 30 days notice before changing subscription prices. Continued use after notice constitutes acceptance of the new price.

Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Use Circle for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable law
• Attempt to circumvent any content restrictions, parental controls, or security measures
• Share account credentials with individuals outside your household
• Use automated tools, bots, or scripts to access Circle
• Attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, or extract source code from our platform
• Upload, transmit, or distribute any content that is illegal, harmful, or violates third-party rights
• Impersonate another person or entity

Content and creators

Circle is a marketplace platform that hosts content created by independent educators and creators. Circle reviews creator applications and conducts background checks, but we do not produce the creator content ourselves.

We maintain content standards that all creators must follow. If you encounter content that violates these standards, please report it to hello@circletv.co.

Circle reserves the right to remove any content or suspend any creator who violates our standards, at our sole discretion.

Creator agreements

If you apply and are accepted as a Circle creator, additional terms apply to you:

• Platform fee: Circle retains 20% of all subscription revenue generated by your channel. The remaining 80% is paid to you. This fee covers platform hosting, payment processing, content review, and infrastructure costs.
• Payouts: Creator earnings are calculated monthly and paid out according to the schedule communicated during onboarding. Minimum payout thresholds may apply.
• Content ownership: You retain full ownership of the content you create and upload to Circle. By uploading content, you grant Circle a non-exclusive, worldwide license to host, stream, and display your content on the platform for the purpose of delivering it to subscribers.
• Content standards: All content must comply with Circle's content guidelines, which prohibit advertising, product placement, violence, fear-based content, and material inappropriate for children ages 3–12. Content is subject to human review before publication.
• Pricing: Creators set their own monthly subscription price between $2.99 and $14.99. Circle may adjust the permitted price range with 30 days notice.
• Removal: Circle may remove content or suspend a creator account at its sole discretion for violations of these terms, content standards, or applicable law. Pending earnings will be paid out for the period prior to suspension.
• Termination by creator: Creators may leave the platform at any time. Existing subscriber access continues through the end of their current billing period. After that, your content is removed from the platform.

Circle Originals

Some content on Circle is produced directly by Circle ("Circle Originals"). Circle Originals may use AI-assisted production tools including AI-generated voices and animation. All Circle Originals are scripted and reviewed by human educators before publication. Circle Originals are clearly labeled as such in the platform.

Intellectual property

Circle and its original content, features, and functionality are owned by Circle LLC and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws. Creator content is owned by the respective creators.

Your Circle Plus membership and creator subscriptions grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to access and view content through the Circle platform for personal, non-commercial household use only. You may not download, reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from any content on Circle without express written permission.

Termination

By you: You may close your account at any time by contacting hello@circletv.co or through your account settings. Active subscriptions will continue until the end of their billing period.

By Circle: We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account at any time if you violate these terms, engage in fraudulent activity, or for any other reason at our discretion. We will make reasonable efforts to notify you before termination except in cases of serious violations or fraud.

Disclaimers

Circle is provided "as is" and "as available." We make no warranties, express or implied, regarding the platform's reliability, accuracy, or fitness for a particular purpose. We do not guarantee that the platform will be available at all times or free from errors.

Educational content on Circle is provided for informational and enrichment purposes. Circle does not guarantee any specific educational outcomes.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Circle LLC and its officers, employees, and agents shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of Circle, including but not limited to loss of data, loss of profits, or damages resulting from content accessed through the platform.

Our total liability to you for any claim arising from these terms or your use of Circle shall not exceed the amount you paid to Circle in the 3 months preceding the claim.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Virginia, United States, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising from these terms shall be resolved in the courts of Virginia.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by email and by updating the "Last updated" date above. Your continued use of Circle after notice of changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
